Nellie is a lifestyle photographer that captures the emotions that define our life.
The moments of grace parents have with their newborn, the joyful smiles of a toddler, the way a bride embraces her new husband, and the unique identity each family shares. These life moments are artistically documented through Nellie’s natural approach to photography.
Nellie graduated from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, IN, with a BFA in photography where she was also Photo Editor of The Observer, a daily newspaper at the University of Notre Dame. After interning as a photojournalist for The South Bend Tribune, Nellie worked with documentary photographer Lauren Greenfield, in Venice, CA.
In 2005, Nellie was selected among an elite group of newly emerging photographers to attend the Eddie Adams Workshop in NY, where she worked with some of the top professionals in the photojournalism field around the country and was awarded a photography shoot for the Detroit Free Press Newspaper.
After moving to Peoria, IL, in 2005, Nellie married her best friend, Dave, and started her photography business.
Nellie is a member of the Professional Photographers Association, Wedding Photojournalist Association and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.
